Humanity first.

I come from a rural background, born into a middle-class agriculturist family in Punjab. I grew up around people who had everything they needed to live comfortably. Although poverty lingered on the fringes of our community, it seldom posed a significant barrier to basic necessities as it does today.

While growing up, I would toil on farmlands, ride buses for hours to reach school and college, and consequently struggle to balance my attention between studies, work, and recreation. My father, a landowner, sociable but Indifferent person, may not have had big plans for me, but It was my mother who served as my unwavering compass, reminding me each day of the paramount importance of pursuing higher education, although she herself did not have much formal education. Though I had no one around who could have guided me on how to navigate the future, thanks to my mother's unwavering support and fervent prayers, I graduated from university and left Pakistan in 2003 to begin my career in the UAE. I still remember how my mother quietly sold some of her jewelry for my relocation.

Although I had done a Master of Science in IT and later MBA in HRM, I accepted whatever role my original company gave me. I would work more than 15 hours a day while hardly having any weekends, which was still insufficient to cover my basic living costs. Yet despite this, I would never forget to send money back home to pay for not only my family's needs, but many needy people around them as well: my mother, a sister, three brothers, and those around I grew with them. It has been an arduous journey spanning two decades, but looking back, I feel so happy to see my family well settled; my sister educated well, worked a bit, and later became a housewife, and my brothers relocated and settled well in UAE. My passion for helping did not stop with my mother's passing, nor after my family had settled down well; instead, it grew further by the day. Over time, as my financial breathing space grew, my wife and I kept increasing the support we could provide to our community back home. 

As I reflect upon and cherish my achievements, I find myself disheartened by the lack of opportunities and the persisting struggles that my fellow country(wo)men face nowadays in Pakistan, where more than 55 million people live below the poverty line. It is an affliction that strikes at the core of humanity, for I recall a time when ordinary citizens did not bear the burden of such insurmountable struggles. Today, I am fortunate to succeed professionally, settle my siblings well, send my sons to good schools, and live a quality life with my family abroad. However, my heart goes after millions of those unable to meet their basic needs due to the ever-increasing financial and economic disparity between the rich and the poor.

Driven by this passion for helping, I aspire to transform this noble cause of helping into a collective effort that unites our family and empowers us more to make a lasting impact. With this intention, we have established our charitable foundation, a beacon of hope for those in need. We hope to uplift our community through our foundation, enabling them to overcome their struggles and live better lives.
